Two cards at once.

Hiya!

I've had two birthdays passing by without me posting the cards I made for them. My bf has turned 25 (He's a big boy now! lol! I always try to tease him for being younger than me) and my sister 31. So I thought I'd share them now, since I haven't gotten around to that earlier. Ready? Here they come!

Above you see the "little" glazed muffin I bought for bf. You have to have some kind of goodies when it's birthday time, right? Lol.

So, this is the card I made for bf. You're supposed to pull the ribbon so that the little "tab" pulls up, like shown below here. I got the idea from Kim Burmeisters Youtube-tutorial. Thanks, Kim!!

Materials used are:
Patterned Paper: October Afternoon "Night Lights"
Cardstock: CTMH
Ribbon: CTMH
Stamps: Hero Arts - "Manuscript background", Doodle Factory - "Yapples"
Copics: BG02, BG05, BG09
Other things: Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad, plastic beads, Diamond stickles.

Now this is the same type of card as I made for my birthday, but this one I gave to my sister.

Materials used are:
Cardstock: CTMH
Ribbon: CTMH
Stamp: Doodle Factory - "Rose"
Copics: RV29, RV17, RV14, RV13, RV10, YG03, YG17, E34, C9, C3, C1
Other things: Diamond Glaze, Bella Baubles in Oyster, Cuttlebug Embossing folder "D'vine Swirls".

Hope you like 'em!

Whiff Of Joy Candy at Rachels!

Rachel is giving away this supercute candy at her blog. It is (amongst other things) the superfab stamp Autumn Charlotte from the fabulous Whiff Of Joy stamps. I borrowed the picture from Rachels blog (I do hope that it's okay, Rachel!). So, you should:

1. Participate in this chance for the awesome candy at Rachels.
2. Totally check out Whiff Of Joy to get yourself some superwonderful stamps!

Good luck and happy shopping! :)

Wedding!

Two of my friends are getting married today, after being together for 7 years! I'm super excited for them and of course I had to make a card for them. Todays card is not very advanced, even though it took a looong time to make. Mostly because of all the embossing. It's hard to emboss with glitter embossing powder, because the glitter sticks everywhere! Even where I don't want it to stick. Anyways, here it the easel card I made for them!

This is how it looks folded flat.

And here it is when it's "unfolded", standing up on its own. The text (which also works as the "stopper", keeping the card front standing) says "Till det lyckliga paret" which reads "To the happy couple" in English.

This pic didn't turn out very well, I tried to take a pic to show all the glitter in the embossing powder. Sorry 'bout the blur.

This is what I used for the card:
Cardstock: CTMH
Kiss-stamp: Heindesign, Judi-Kins "Hot Lips"
Word-stamp: CTMH Make It Count stampset
Ink: CTMH Grey Flannel (for text background), Grey Wool (for edges)
Embossing powder: Reprint Clear embossing powder and Red Sparkle embossing powder.
Journaling: American Craft Slick Writer, fine tip, in black

Happy Birthday!

This is a happy birthday card. It doesn't say so with a sentiment, because the sentiments I have just didn't fit the card in a good way. So I left it out and just cut out the little square "26" from an October Afternoon paper from the Cherry Hill Collection. The other patterned papers are front and back of the paper Katie from October Afternoons Night Light Collection. Cute, huh? I thought it matched the colors of Oakley sitting on the mushroom. Oakley comes from the fall stamp kit from Whiff Of Joy.

Oh, and I've colored him with Copics:
Jeans: B91, B93, B95, B99.
Shirt: YG93, YG95, YG99 (I think, could be YG91 in there as well).
Mushroom and hat: E31, E34, E53.
Red on scarf, ribbon around hat and patch on the knee: R89 and E07.
Hair: C7, C5, C3.
Shoes: W7, W5.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, R20

Finally, I glazed the "26" with Diamond Glaze, inked the edges with Distress Ink in the color Vintage Photo and put it all together. It doesn't show well in the picture, but the rectangle with Oakley and the "26" are adhered with foam dots to make them pop!

Copics!

Hiya everyone!

I've decided to switch to English, at least for this post. Why? Because I want more people to be able to understand what I'm writing. In particular Suzanne and Kim, who has been (and still are) a great inspiration to me! But it doesn't stop there, they have also been incredibly helpful with all my questions about Copics and other things that are new to me. Thank you so much, guys!! :)

And as a token of my appreciation, I will now treat you with my attempt to color a stamped image with Copics. I've got to admit I'm quite pleased with how it turned out concidering it's my second time ever doing this. Not only with Copics, but coloring in stamped images in general. So I know it's not the best you've seen, but go easy on me, mmkay? ;) The image is from the superlovely Fall Stamp Set from Whiff Of Joy. Don't you just love it (and I'm not talking about my coloring, but the image itself, lol)?

Copics used are:
Face/skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair: C7, C5, C3
Apron: W7, W5, W3
Dress: BG10, BG11, BG72, BG75
Leaves: YG93, YG95, YG99
Grapes: V04, V09
Ribbon in her hair: RV29

And of course a 0 (Colorless Blender) since I cannot control myself and keep drawing outside of the lines.. guess practice makes perfect (or at least better, haha), huh?

Take care of yourselves! I'm heading off to bed since it's already 1.30am here. Nighty night!
